Watch Better Sailing rigging guru, Simon, rig up one of the club Lasers.

Laser rigging can be complicated till you get the hang of it. Hopefully this video will help.

The four club boats can be found on the right hand side of the entrance to the Laser park. They can be booked and paid for on the member’s website.

The covers are labelled with the type of rig they contain. There are three sail sizes - Full is the largest. Best just for larger males or in light wind. Radial is the middle sized sail. 4.7 is good for lighter people or heavy winds. Each boat needs to use the rig it has on it. Please don’t try to change this.

We do have a spare 4.7 rig set up in the sail store that can be used if needed. Ideally ask someone for help to arrange this.

We have worked hard to make all four Lasers rig in the same way as much as possible. Please could you not swap pieces between boats or ‘borrow’ bits of them to try and solve other problems.

On Saturdays there are usually people around who can help you. Look particularly for Sarah, Simon, Stuart or the Better Sailing Instructor.
