Activate Your Boat / Can sail, want to race (better) Day
The RYA have sponsored Simon Winkley – RYA sailing coach – to come to KGSC for the day to help all members Activate Your Boat for the season, leading on to Can sail, want to race / race better on water tuition. Start 09.30 going through to finish around 4pm.
The idea is to help you get your boat out of the long grass, get the cover off, check it over – so bring those spares you know you will need – and get it ready to sail.
After that the aim is to get you on the water and go through a series of race starts, short course and do it all again and again. Team talk, advice, Simon jumping in your boat to show you what he means through the day.
Having been on a several similar days some years ago it improved my sailing no end. Can thoroughly recommend it.

SOLO OPEN MEETING - SATURDAY 12TH MAY 2012.
> Eastern Travellers Series
3 Races.
First start 11:00am,
Fee £12.
KGSC is a friendly club with excellent water and facilities.
Our SOLO fleet enjoys competitive racing at all levels, so come on down and join the fun what ever your skill.
Sunday 13th May 2012 - SOLO Fleet Racing - 3 races - 11:00 start.
Why not leave you boat in our secure park and join us on Sunday as well!!

Tried windsurfing or dinghy sailing on holiday? Thought you could only participate if you lived by the sea?
Great Britain consistently performs well at the Olympics in sailing!!
